Thou hast crowned him with glory and honour, O Lord: and hast set him over the works of Thy hands.

The just shall rejoice in the Lord, and shall hope in Him: and all the upright in heart shall be praised. Ps. Hear, O God, my prayer when I make supplication to Thee: deliver my soul from the fear of the enemy.

Grant, we beseech Thee, almighty God, that we who celebrate the feast of blessed N. Thy Martyr, may by his intercession be strengthened in the love of Thy name. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end. Amen.

Dearly beloved: Be mindful that the Lord Jesus Christ is risen again from the dead, of the seed of David, according to my Gospel. Wherein I labor even unto bands, as an evildoer: but the word of God is not bound. Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus, with heavenly glory. But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, patience, persecutions, afflictions: such as came upon me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra: what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord delivered me. And all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

The just shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow up like the cedar of Libanus. V. They that are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of the house of our God.

At that time, Jesus said to His disciples: Do not think that I came to send peace upon earth: I came not to send peace, but the sword. For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a man's enemies shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than Me, is not worthy of Me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than Me, is not worthy of Me. And he that taketh not up his cross, and followeth Me, is not worthy of Me. He that findeth his life, shall lose it: and he that shall lose his life for Me, shall find it. He that receiveth you, receiveth Me: and he that receiveth Me, receiveth Him that sent Me. He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet, shall receive the reward of a prophet: and he that receiveth a just man in the name of a just man, shall receive the reward of a just man. And whosoever shall give to drink to one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, amen I say to you, he shall not lose his reward.

Grant, we beseech Thee, O Lord our God, that as we commemorate Thy saints, we may experience their help in heaven. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end. Amen.
